Mikel Daniels, D.P.M., President and Chief Medical Officer at We Treat Feet Podiatry, further cautions that unsuitable shoes can undermine otherwise effective treatments. Therefore, selecting footwear that properly cushions the heel, provides robust arch support, and offers excellent shock absorption is paramount. Among the various options, the Hoka Bondi and Brooks Adrenaline GTS lines consistently receive high recommendations from multiple podiatrists.

Certain shoe models stand out for their specific benefits in combating plantar fasciitis. The Hoka Bondi 9, for instance, is highly praised by Daniels for its exceptional shock absorption, featuring an elevated stack height and innovative foam midsole. Pourziaee also endorses this model for its ability to reduce impact. For daily use and casual walking, Daniels recommends the Asics Gel Kayano series. These shoes are designed with a firm medial midsole that helps control overpronation, thereby reducing strain on the plantar fascia.
